Order Authorization All orders submitted to Julie of California must be placed by authorized personnel only. It is the responsibility of the customer to ensure that only an authorized person places an order. Julie of California will not be held responsible or liable for orders placed by anyone representing or employed by the customer that is not authorized to execute a purchase transaction.
Final artwork is e-mailed, faxed, or mailed prior to production for approval by the customer or an authorized representative of the customer.
For order clarification purposes, all orders are acknowledged by e-mail, fax, or by mail. Upon receipt, please review this document carefully and contact your sales representative immediately with any discrepancies. The customer is responsible for reviewing all terms and conditions set forth in the acknowledgment form. A signed acknowledgment form that we've received via fax or mail constitutes your acceptance of the terms and conditions as stated in the document. Should you decide to e-mail the acknowledgment form back to us as an attachment or otherwise, without an authorized signature, the receipt of the e-mail by Julie of California will constitute your acceptance of the order as stated in the document.
On all orders, a 50% deposit is required before work begins with the balance due upon receipt of the order. Net 30 day terms will be granted to schools and government agencies with a valid purchase order and to customers with established credit with Julie of California. A credit application must be completed to establish credit terms. Please allow 3-4 weeks to process the credit application. A 2% pre-payment discount will apply on all orders where full payment is received at the time the order is placed. Visa and Mastercard are accepted. Sales and use taxes, if applicable, will be paid by the customer. Specific to some products and due to the nature of our business, we reserve the right to ship and invoice 5% over or under the total quantity ordered. Dies produced for the manufacture of any item are incurred on every initial order. Dies for manufacturing any item become the property of the factory, and are stored for up to three (3) years.
All orders are shipped FOB San Jose, California, unless otherwise indicated. All freight and handling charges will be paid by the customer. If a shipping method has not been specifically requested by the customer, United Parcel Service will be utilized. If other shipment means are required due to unusual circumstances, upon your approval, we will select the most appropriate method to deliver your awards in time for your event. Julie of California shall not be held responsible for delays or non-deliveries beyond our control. Drop shipment services are available. Each piece produced is marked with country of origin. Upon receipt of your order, carefully count and compare with your acknowledgment form and examine all merchandise. All claims for shortage or defective goods must be reported to our office within 5 days of receipt of merchandise. All claims for undeliverable shipments must be reported to our office within 5 days of anticipated receipt of merchandise.
Minimum Orders

Orders with less-than-minimum quantities required, as stated in the product notes, are available under certain circumstances. A minimum order charge of $70.00 (P) plus prepayment of die charges if any will apply. For further details, please contact a sales representative.
Unless custom products are damaged in shipment or reflect obvious defects in workmanship, they cannot be returned to us under any circumstances. Authorization for return of certain products that can be restocked and sold again will not be granted after 15 working days from the date of receipt of the shipment. If authorization for return of products that can be restocked is granted, a 15% restocking charge will apply. The customer is responsible for shipping charges to and from their location.
Cancellation ion of orders during production and prior to shipment will be charged an amount equal to the percentage of completion of the order at the time the order is canceled.
Some award lines are available for pre-production samples to be produced and delivered for review prior to the actual production of the order. Samples of finished products require a prepayment of die charges plus a $70.00 (P) minimum charge which is credited to customer on orders of 300+ pieces (with no alterations). Customer artwork will not be returned unless requested at the time an order is placed. Julie of California cannot guarantee the return of samples to the customer. If requested and if possible, every effort will be made to return customer samples promptly.
Due to time constraint circumstances stated by the customer, some products may be produced in less time than the stated normal production schedules. A charge may or may not apply. For further details, please discuss with a sales representative.

Rights to Promotion
Julie of California reserves the right to use any and all products produced for sale to customers in any advertising, direct mail, collateral materials, trade show booth, or other marketing vehicles and displays unless otherwise specified in writing by the customer at the time the order is placed. Products displayed in any advertising, marketing, display, or promotional vehicle are shown as examples of the type and quality of the products produced. They are not represented for resale, nor are they to be construed as product or brand-name endorsements for the registered mark owners.
A letter of authorization must be supplied specifying authorization approval before any work incorporating a trademark, copyright, or register logo begins. Furthermore, the customer shall defend, hold harmless and free of all liability, Julie of California regarding trademark, registration mark, or copyright infringements and/or disputes. Julie of California assumes the customer has permission prior to production to use all registered designs, marks, logos, graphics, and other artwork submitted for the express purpose of reproduction of same into custom medals and/or other awards. The customer agrees to assume any and all responsibility and liability resulting from trademark, registration mark, or copyright infringement actions or demands brought against Julie of California.
We will accept any artwork you send -- pencil sketch, camera ready art, or electronic file. In most cases our designers and artists will prepare your artwork to meet the specifications of its intended product. Please provide reasonable-accurate black & white or color copies of your artwork with all orders. Pantone® Matching Color System is used for color identification. However, exact color matching cannot be achieved due to the nature of the manufacturing process. In addition, the color palette for cloisonne items is limited, therefore the best possible match to specified Pantone® colors will be made. Black and white artwork produced by our artists for your product can be presented for approval upon your request prior to production without cost. A surcharge of $30.00 (P) will be added to the cost of your order if any alteration is requested. When e-mailing an electronic file, please submit it in any of the following formats (in order of preference):
Resolution of 600 dpi at same size as final reproduction. Please include any fonts used In the design.
